This project utilised the idea of “floating furniture” when making units for alcoves instead of the more regular fitted type.

It means that each unit is wall mounted and is made to fit the space with a gap around and hovers above the skirting instead of a regular plinth.

The result is a very modern look that works well in a period home as it has its own space therefore keeping the integrity of the existing period features
